Ingredients:
Chicken Ingredients:
5 pounds chicken wings
1/2 cup BBQ rub
2 tablespoons neutral oil
Honey Sriracha Glaze Ingredients:
½ cup Sriracha sauce, more for extra spice
¼ cup unsalted butter
⅓ cup honey
¼ cup ketchup
¼ cup Maggi seasoning or soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 teaspoon black pepper
Steps:
Season Chicken Wings – Lightly coat the chicken wings with neutral oil. Season the chicken wings on both sides with BBQ rub. Let the chicken wings rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Make Honey Sriracha Glaze – Bring the Honey Sriracha Glaze ingredients in a saucepan to a boil on a stovetop or put it over the direct part of the grill. Mix and let it reduce down to a syrupy consistency.
BBQ Chicken Wings- Set up the grill to 425-500 degrees for high-heat indirect BBQing. BBQ the wings for about 25 minutes or until the internal temp reaches 175 degrees. Optional step, but you can sear chicken wings over direct heat for 30 seconds on each side for extra color.
Finish Chicken Wings – In a medium mixing bowl, add chicken wings and honey sriracha glaze, and toss until chicken wings are evenly coated with the glaze.
Tips:
- Recipe works great on all types of bone-in chicken
- Add more Sriracha sauce for extra spiciness
- If you don’t have a grill, use the oven and roast at higher temps
