This basic hoisin peanut sauce is the perfect dipping sauce for all your favorite fresh spring rolls! I love this sauce because it’s super eazy to make and is made with peanut butter and just a few common Asian pantry condiments. It’s sweet, spicy, salty, and super creamy. If you’re a peanut butter fan, this is the perfect sauce for you! Make it for your next spring roll party!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter (preferably Skippy)
1/2 cup water, more to smooth out sauce
2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce (optional)
1-2 teaspoons crushed peanuts (optional)
dash of salt
Steps:
Make Peanut Sauce – Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat and whisk until ingredients blended and mixed. Add additional water as needed to smooth out the sauce to the desired consistency.
Tips:
- For added texture, use crunchy peanut butter.
- You’re looking for a gravy-like consistency for the peanut sauce.
- You can substitute other nut butters for peanut butter if you prefer, but I can’t guarantee it’s going to taste the same.
