Tomahawk Steak

I miss having visitors! Especially, during the summer when family and/or friends would come over on the weekend and just eat, drink, and hang out in the backyard for hours while the kids play.  I'm praying that we get this pandemic situation taken care of sooner rather than later, so we can go back to … Continue reading Tomahawk Steak

Grilled T-Bone Steak

T-Bone steak, or as I call it... the best of both world's steak, looks great and is unique because it contains two different parts of beef: the meatier and beefier strip loin, and the more tender delicate tenderloin, separated by a "T"-shaped lumbar vertebra. YAY, for two-for-one. It was a fun cut of steak to … Continue reading Grilled T-Bone Steak

Grilled Cowboy Steak with Chipotle Butter

Sam's Bar-B-Que, in San Jose, introduced me to my first Cowboy steak.  My daughters go to a swim school next door and you can always smell the delicious BBQ smoke in the air all day long.  In front of Sam's, a big A-frame sign advertises Bone-In Cowboy Rib-eye Steak.  Curious, I Google'ed Cowboy Steak and … Continue reading Grilled Cowboy Steak with Chipotle Butter

Grilled Tri-tip Steaks

My wife and I were introduced to tri-tip steaks a few years ago when we attended a party hosted by our good friend Anohla's family.  Mr. Alapan, Anohla's Dad, served up some delicious and amazing tri-tip steaks that were beautifully crusted on the outside, super tender and juicy on the inside, and perfectly flavorful all … Continue reading Grilled Tri-tip Steaks

Vietnamese Style Steak

Over the past few weeks, Jane and I have been craving and eating steak weekly and ordered steaks prepared in various ways.  Whether the steak is grilled, BBQ'ed, or pan-fried, there's nothing like devouring a big juicy medium-rare steak. YUM!Since Valentine's day is coming up, I want to share this eazy peazy Vietnamese Style Steak … Continue reading Vietnamese Style Steak

NY Steak with Chimichurri

My parents have been working so much these days - it's crazy!  They must be working at least 70+ hours a week.  My brother and I thought it'd be nice to make a nice fancy dinner at home since they are too tired to go eat out when they get home. After brainstorming we decided to … Continue reading NY Steak with Chimichurri

Woke up craving Phở badly today. I had all the ingredients needed and used @quocvietfoodsusa beef Phở soup base to quickly make Phở for me and the girls. Like all their products, the beef Phở soup base was simple to use, super balanced, and helped me create quality bowls of Phở super quick. So yum.
@hellachitown and I are super excited to host our first foodie collab together. We are celebrating 4/20 by hosting a rolled food theme for the foodie collab where our foodie friends from all around the world post their best savory or sweet rolled food creation.
Coach @janetnavarrette from @gymparty_ and I teamed up and hosted a special Cook-a-Long event yesterday to raise awareness and money for a Stop AAPI Hate organization helping the Asian community.

This was my first ever Cook-A-Long and it was so fun.  Met some awesome new friends, talked, laugh, danced, drank, talked food and fitness, and cooked Bò Lúc Lắc aka Shakin’ Beef!  Everyone got all their ingredients and we walked through the cooking process step by step from prepping, cooking, and plating and cooked together.  People on the Zoom received a lot of No Limit Cooking tips. I loved the energy and seeing everyone’s amazing dishes. So fun and yummy. Swipe to see more fun pics!
Mom wanted a hot pot party with the familia this weekend so we teamed up and made it happen. She took care of the proteins and I took care of the hot pot broths, noodles, and veggies.
Every time I visit @franklyawesomefood and family in San Diego, the first order of business upon our arrival, no matter what time of day it is, is to hit up @cotixanmexfood for one of my favorite tacos ever...the Cotixan hard beef taco.
The girls were super happy with Japanese Chicken Curry rice for dinner tonight because they have been requesting some Japanese Chicken Curry for weeks! My youngest even wanted to learn, watch, and help cook because this is one of her favorite dishes. I made the oldest clean up because she didn’t want to help cook.
